A few years ago, the Furgesons took it upon themselves to design the largest jumpable monstrosity they could. This year, with the help of a factory in Cleveland, they were finally able to build it. With a 900-foot inflatable obstacle course, ball pits, mazes, climbing walls, and even a DJ area with a dance floor to keep the party going, this bouncy house even better than one you could've dreamed up as a kid. There’s an obstacle course, where you can compete against your friends, and a basketball court, where you can get some major air. You can slide down the giant slide into the ball pit or just jump around with the inflatable beach balls. “Before we launched as a touring family event, most of our work in the US was based on college entertainment,” says Craig.

Tourist attraction Jumbo Jump in Karachi, Pakistan has claimed the record for the largest inflatable (bouncy) castle. The bounce house is so big, you could even call it a bounce neighborhood. We spoke with Craig and Jamison last week as their crew drilled stakes into the pavement to keep the inflatables from being swept up by the sea breeze. Altogether, over 100 air blowers, plugged into five diesel power generators, keep the park inflated.

What Is Mountain Modern Interior Design? FS Design Group

mountain modern design

Created as a modernist two-bedroom family retreat, this home was made to sit lightly on the land. Formed with four volumes, the project features interwoven materials that respond to the surrounding context. “Modern mountain designs include vaulted ceilings, large windows, and the interjection of a contemporary open floor plan,” says Kim Bailey, CEO and design director of Design Lifestyles. Consider including elements crafted from reclaimed or natural wood for an organic feel. Embrace the charm of local antiques and incorporate Native tonal designs to infuse history and personality into your space.

What are Modern Mountain Homes?

First, it’s important that you let your base materials speak for themselves rather than layering too much decor and overwhelming your space. Be intentional about the color, dimension, and texture of your walls, paneling, trim, and floors so that minimal decor is needed to outfit the room. While mountain modern lends itself to homes nestled in the mountains, you don't necessarily have to dwell in the alpines to pull inspiration from this trend. Just be aware that a little goes a long way if you're not designing a mountain house, says Humphrey. Going overboard in a suburban or urban space could result in a space that feels inauthentic—or worse yet, borders on cheesy theme park. The goal is to incorporate warm, natural touches in ways that make sense for the space.

Mountain contemporary design for a chic and cozy home

This kind of table is common in mountain homes and displays an industrial-antique appearance in many spaces. Moreover, it is durable and lights so you can move and is easily placed near the sofa or bed. With mountain homes, the chairs are designed such that you enjoy and have comfort in your house. This chair is covered with beautiful, top-grain leather, and the overstuffed cushion makes it comfortable. Mountain homes may be built of traditional materials like wood and stone, or they may use more modern materials like concrete and glass. These homes are typically built on steep, mountainous terrain and feature large windows to enjoy the stunning views.

Can you tell me the name of the stone and barnwood used on the exterior of this house? Have one that is skewed and current in its creative presentation instead. Dining chairs in black with braided seats look great around the sturdy hardwood table contributing to nuanced texture. Finally, the dining room is anchored with a contemporary pendant light. Along with the flagstone patio, the natural appearance of the environment can be enhanced by using wild grasses, boulders, and pebbles sourced from the surrounding area.

Lots of natural light

Rather than covering up the details of the home, neutral colors allow the textures of all the materials to shine. Mountain modern has totally shifted into using natural elements that boast modern and clean lines and engage with the outside world. There are five basic hallmarks of mountain modern design, and all of them serve to create a perfect balance of luxury and leisure. While interpretations of mountain modern interior design style can vary, certain components remain consistent, resulting in unique and captivating spaces.

Having many windows is a must for any contemporary mountain home design. You can take advantage of the mountain scenery from any room in your home if you install plenty of glass windows. This modern area can house your record collection, wine glasses, and other audio equipment. Snowfall is always possible in the mountains and must be planned accordingly. While flat roofs are more typical of contemporary architecture, slanted roofs are often necessary for mountainous regions. As a five-module home, the Sonoma Connect 5 house overlooks views to Sonoma Valley in Southern California.

This renovation of a William Wurster Ranch house began with a study of the home’s history. Inspired by original photos of the 1950s home, the renovation refreshed its significant architectural past without detracting from its Wurster essence. Downtown L.A. is hurting. Frank Gehry thinks arts can lead a revival

If you have a mountain home, keep your exterior woods dark to better absorb heat during the winter months and to prevent harsh glare from the sun. While accent colors like blue, red, yellow, and green are commonly used, they are kept subdued to harmonize with the serene and organic beauty of the mountain environment. The right accented neutral color scheme can make all the difference. Get our big stories about Hollywood, film, television, music, arts, culture and more right in your inbox as soon as they publish.

Del Vento also urges a palette pulled from nature, offering “grays, whites, blacks, browns, and greens” as color options. “Just don’t turn your home into a hunting lodge,” warns Monica Breese, founder of a New York City–based home design and staging firm and a real estate agent with Compass. Combining living quarters with a barn and guest house, the project is surrounded by ocean views and ancient Indian sites. Along with stone and timber, metal is another important component of mountain modern decor, says Bailey. Here’s more about mountain modern style and how to get the look in your little chalet.

The owner of this home was comfortable with and desired a modern home. Our approach to all homes is based on proportion, human scale, and the home’s relationship to the site. Initially, we had a very complex butterfly roof home that felt too busy. We pared it down until we settled on two simple but strong forms that anchor the home to the site.

It will be challenging to determine what is natural and the result of human activity. Settling naturally onto the contours of Carmel Valley, this residence is set within a small clearing of California old growth oaks. Made with natural cedar and weathered steel, it frames multiple perspectives of its surroundings and the views beyond. Created with openness and transparency, the project includes mirrored courtyards, flanking wings and a ground form of precision-formed concrete. A Colorado vacation home receives a major facelift, filling every room with daylight and modern elements.

Adopting the energy efficiency of more modern spaces, architects can create homes that are still rustic, but much more efficient. To balance modern and rustic, you’ll want a color palette that’s both warm and neutral, so prioritize soft creams, beiges, and grays. Earth tones are also trending and mix well in mountain contemporary design, but before you add a new color, consider another texture first. You want your color palette to complement the outdoors, not compete with it. A crucial element of modern mountain home design is the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Architectural features play a defining role, creating open and fresh environments that utilize local materials. “We always want the homes we design to blend into the environment,” says Jared. If you’ve ever dreamed of a living space that seamlessly blends the wild beauty of mountain landscapes with the elegance of modern aesthetics, you’re in the right place. For Atlanta interior designers, mountain modern style is a popular request for cabins and vacation homes nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

Incorporating mountain modern style into your home is an invitation to embrace the harmony of nature and the comfort of modern living. With its use of natural materials, neutral palettes, abundant natural light, and open-concept living, this style brings a sense of serenity and connection to the great outdoors that is truly unmatched. Showcasing the state’s varied landscape, we’ve drawn together a collection of California’s incredible mountain homes.

Chicago's Lincoln Park Neighborhood

summer house chicago

It truly is summer every day at Summer House, a tall order in a city where snow has been recorded eight out of the last twelve months. The space is bright, dotted with dozens of twinkly glass lights, and covered by a beautiful retractable glass roof that lets in more light than is legally allowed in a restaurant. Sometimes it feels like they’re trying a little too hard—there’s a “countdown till summer” on the wall, and they used to offer an actual beach ball on the menu for $7.95. But luckily that’s been removed, and overall the theme works.

That’s because the beauty of Summer House is only skin deep. Sure, the space is stunning and unlike anywhere else in Chicago, and sure, the servers look really cool with their colorful checked shirts, but dish after dish is merely okay. A salad of market greens and herbs was barely dressed, while a Hamachi tartare with avocado and green apple was appealing texturally, but didn’t have any zip. Grilled salmon, served with roasted fennel and arugula pesto, was overcooked.

District officials also expect the project will improve band practice times and spectator experience. The music is performed by an onstage ensemble, including four string players from the Lyric Opera Orchestra. Spread across the entire stage, dancers are reveling in a sea of hay (turns out it’s actually haylike raffia), throwing and waving clumps of the golden strands. It is the first in a series of startling and transporting scenes in this odd, wonderful, provocative and utterly original work. Nowadays, the mother of one (she has a sweet daughter named Madeline) has pivoted to copywriting and content strategy for brands such as American Express, Celsius, Nectar, and Nutrafol. Ashley was another Season 1 on Summer House, although she did make a couple appearances during Season 2.

We hit the bakery case for an excellent chewy oatmeal cookie studded with dried apples. We reopened our tab and ordered the Sicilian Highball, made with Cynar, Averna, ginger beer and lemon—basically a deeper, bitter, more delicious Moscow Mule. Then the bartender appeared with an orphaned sausage pizza, and asked if we wanted it. With help from the friendly group next to us, we demolished the pizza, which turned out to be the best thing we ate all night (the cookie took second place).

“If you think about a typical spring at a comprehensive high school, we have almost 20 sport levels … that need to use these facilities,” and teams would be competing for space, Wardle said. At the open house on Feb. 13, Wardle explained the need for the renovation. The athletic fields will be getting a makeover starting this summer, with additional work planned for coming years. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. Probably because this work is so different and challenging in its way, no other company has mounted it besides the Joffrey and Royal Swedish Ballet, which debuted it in 2015.

Take in the bright and airy scenery at Summer House—now even bigger and better. The newly expanded venue will transport guests to a California-style paradise. The full restaurant buyout includes comfortable booths, full bar seating throughout the restaurant, and two main dining rooms. The space is perfect for wedding receptions, corporate gatherings, and large-form events looking for a West Coast oasis. Plus, the menu also has a nice smattering of seafood, pastas, pizzas, and proteins. It’s a little bit unfocused (rarely can you order meatballs, salmon sashimi, and crispy fish tacos within the same meal), but overall, the food is good.

Like its Lincoln Park location, string lights and hanging plants decorate the space. Though handhelds like chicken sandwiches, burgers, and grilled fish tacos aren't mindblowing, they’re all more reliable than your flight that's been delayed twice. They also have some starters like pita and hummus or chips and salsa if you want to bring some plane snacks.

"I am SO in love with Dean and beyond grateful to have a healthy baby. But this has been the hardest adjustment of my life. Chris was only in the cast of Summer House during Season 7. While he wasn't on our TV screens full-time for long, he still has a special relationship with the camera, working as a writer and director under his own company, Leoni Pictures. When you want to eat at an actual table and not at an airport gate next to a screaming toddler, Summer House Santa Monica is a decent option.

The Joffrey deserves credit for taking a risk on “Midsummer” six years ago and for showing enough belief in it to bring it back for new round of audiences to discover. Despite its familiar-seeming title, this piece has no connection with Shakespeare. Instead, Ekman goes in his own distinctive direction, paying homage to the summer solstice and the centuries-old Scandinavian Midsummer holiday.

On a recent Friday night, a night so cold my date and I took a cab instead of taking the train and then walking 10 minutes, we headed into the Lincoln Park restaurant, which immediately whisks you away to summery Southern California. All Items Can Be Prepared Gluten Free We believe in feeding kids the foods they love, but made from scratch with natural ingredients. Explore our California-style menus, locally sourced with simple ingredients and a perfect fit for any event. Prepare to be welcomed by our renowned "YES" sign and vibrant greenery when touring our newest room in the building.

Join us on Saturday, April 13 for this bottomless celebration of all things brunch and rosé. The cocktail list is also less appealing than next door, and the Sonoma Coast, a pisco and pineapple concoction, proved to be one note and dull. But the wine list is solid and stocked with mostly California wines worth ordering, like the rich and fruity Frog’s Leap cabernet.

In between the seasons, she and and her husband moved to California, making it a little tough to show up in the Hamptons every weekend. Stephen was part of the cast of Season 1 and Season 2 of Summer House. Still a friend of many cast members (including Danielle Olivera and the Wirkus twins), his Instagram bio says that he's currently an event planner. Mya Allen joined Summer House in Season 6 and stayed through Season 7.

The pasta, made in house, featured garganelli tossed with broccoli rabe and the same fennel sausage used on the pizza next door. It was well-executed, but I’d much rather eat that sausage on Stella Barra’s crust. For desserts, you can pluck something from the bakery case and have it topped with ice cream, but we loved the light-as-air pineapple sorbet.

A friend of Carl Radke (they'd even shared a house at Coachella), Amit Neuman joined Summer House as a full-time cast member in Season 2, transitioning to a guest role for Season 3 before leaving the series. Per his LinkedIn page, he currently works for a financial company, Willis Towers Watson, in New York. Waiting for a table at a restaurant isn’t usually much fun, but at Summer House Santa Monica, the wait is the best part.

C Language information, news, and how-to advice

c# singleton design pattern

For example, the backslashes in "This string contains \"double quotes\"." indicate (to the compiler) that the inner pair of quotes are intended as an actual part of the string, rather than the default reading as a delimiter (endpoint) of the string itself. In C, string literals are surrounded by double quotes (") (e.g., "Hello world!") and are compiled to an array of the specified char values with an additional null terminating character (0-valued) code to mark the end of the string. This ensures that further attempts to dereference the pointer, on most systems, will crash the program. If this is not done, the variable becomes a dangling pointer which can lead to a use-after-free bug. However, if the pointer is a local variable, setting it to NULL does not prevent the program from using other copies of the pointer. Local use-after-free bugs are usually easy for static analyzers to recognize.

Parasoft unveils safety testing tool for C and C++ apps

Encodings lacking these features are likely to prove incompatible with the standard library functions; encoding-aware string functions are often used in such cases. The type system in C is static and weakly typed, which makes it similar to the type system of ALGOL descendants such as Pascal.[36] There are built-in types for integers of various sizes, both signed and unsigned, floating-point numbers, and enumerated types (enum). There are also derived types including arrays, pointers, records (struct), and unions (union). One of the aims of the C standardization process was to produce a superset of K&R C, incorporating many of the subsequently introduced unofficial features. The standards committee also included several additional features such as function prototypes (borrowed from C++), void pointers, support for international character sets and locales, and preprocessor enhancements.

Jump statements

Pass-by-reference is simulated in C by explicitly passing pointers to the thing being referenced. A successor to the programming language B, C was originally developed at Bell Labs by Ritchie between 1972 and 1973 to construct utilities running on Unix. It was applied to re-implementing the kernel of the Unix operating system.[8] During the 1980s, C gradually gained popularity. It has become one of the most widely used programming languages,[9][10] with C compilers available for practically all modern computer architectures and operating systems. An implementation of C providing all of the standard library functions is called a hosted implementation.

Pointers

In some cases, we are only interested in the memory address itself, and we might just want to pass that address around, for example to a function that doesn’t care how the data itself is arranged. If we use the void pointer, we can simply assign to and from it without any explicit type cast necessary, which can help us keep the code a bit cleaner. Strings, both constant and variable, can be manipulated without using the standard library. However, the library contains many useful functions for working with null-terminated strings. Note that storage specifiers apply only to functions and objects; other things such as type and enum declarations are private to the compilation unit in which they appear. In addition to the standard integer types, there may be other "extended" integer types, which can be used for typedefs in standard headers.

Global structure

The use of other backslash escapes is not defined by the C standard, although compiler vendors often provide additional escape codes as language extensions. One of these is the escape sequence \e for the escape character with ASCII hex value 1B which was not added to the C standard due to lacking representation in other character sets (such as EBCDIC). Variables declared within a block by default have automatic storage, as do those explicitly declared with the auto[note 2] or register storage class specifiers. The auto and register specifiers may only be used within functions and function argument declarations; as such, the auto specifier is always redundant. Objects declared outside of all blocks and those explicitly declared with the static storage class specifier have static storage duration.

Why the C programming language still rules

In conditional contexts, null pointer values evaluate to false, while all other pointer values evaluate to true. The C standard library is small compared to the standard libraries of some other languages. The C library provides a basic set of mathematical functions, string manipulation, type conversions, and file and console-based I/O. It does not include a standard set of "container types" like the C++ Standard Template Library, let alone the complete graphical user interface (GUI) toolkits, networking tools, and profusion of other functionality that Java and the .NET Framework provide as standard. The main advantage of the small standard library is that providing a working ISO C environment is much easier than it is with other languages, and consequently porting C to a new platform is comparatively easy. Structures and unions in C are defined as data containers consisting of a sequence of named members of various types.

Reading the subscripts from left to right, array2d is an array of length ROWS, each element of which is an array of COLUMNS integers. The primary facility for accessing the values of the elements of an array is the array subscript operator. To access the i-indexed element of array, the syntax would be array[i], which refers to the value stored in that array element. The book introduced the "Hello, World!" program, which prints only the text "hello, world", as an illustration of a minimal working C program. Since then, many texts have followed that convention for introducing a programming language. In cases where code must be compilable by either standard-conforming or K&R C-based compilers, the __STDC__ macro can be used to split the code into Standard and K&R sections to prevent the use on a K&R C-based compiler of features available only in Standard C.

Typically, the failure symptoms appear in a portion of the program unrelated to the code that causes the error, making it difficult to diagnose the failure. Such issues are ameliorated in languages with automatic garbage collection. The basic C execution character set contains the same characters, along with representations for alert, backspace, and carriage return. Run-time support for extended character sets has increased with each revision of the C standard. In early versions of C, only functions that return types other than int must be declared if used before the function definition; functions used without prior declaration were presumed to return type int. However, the built-in functions must behave like ordinary functions in accordance with ISO C. The main implication is that the program must be able to create a pointer to these functions by taking their address, and invoke the function by means of that pointer.

c# singleton design pattern

Control structures

For more precise specification of width, programmers can and should use typedefs from the standard header stdint.h. We have improved the exposition of critical features, such as pointers, that are central to C programming. We have refined the original examples, and have added new examples in several chapters. For instance, the treatment of complicated declarations is augmented by programs that convert declarations into words and vice versa. As before, all examples have been tested directly from the text, which is in machine-readable form. There are also compilers, libraries, and operating system level mechanisms for performing actions that are not a standard part of C, such as bounds checking for arrays, detection of buffer overflow, serialization, dynamic memory tracking, and automatic garbage collection.

(A workaround for this was to allocate the array with an additional "row vector" of pointers to the columns.) C99 introduced "variable-length arrays" which address this issue. Separate tools such as Unix's lint utility were developed that (among other things) could check for consistency of function use across multiple source files. Thompson wanted a programming language for developing utilities for the new platform. Instead, he created a cut-down version of the recently developed systems programming language called BCPL. In C, all executable code is contained within subroutines (also called "functions", though not in the sense of functional programming). Function parameters are passed by value, although arrays are passed as pointers, i.e. the address of the first item in the array.

An incomplete type is a structure or union type whose members have not yet been specified, an array type whose dimension has not yet been specified, or the void type (the void type cannot be completed). Such a type may not be instantiated (its size is not known), nor may its members be accessed (they, too, are unknown); however, the derived pointer type may be used (but not dereferenced). The type qualifier const indicates that a value does not change once it has been initialized. Attempting to modify a const qualified value yields undefined behavior, so some C compilers store them in rodata or (for embedded systems) in read-only memory (ROM).

The declaration-list declares variables to be used in that scope, and the statement-list are the actions to be performed. Brackets define their own scope, and variables defined inside those brackets will be automaticallydeallocated at the closing bracket. Declarations and statements can be freely intermixed within a compound statement (as in C++).

C is an imperative procedural language, supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope, and recursion, with a static type system. It was designed to be compiled to provide low-level access to memory and language constructs that map efficiently to machine instructions, all with minimal runtime support. Despite its low-level capabilities, the language was designed to encourage cross-platform programming.

Summer House Santa Monica Review Lincoln Park Chicago

The Summer House menu includes one odd item—listed under the “stuff” section is a beach ball for $4.95. I envisioned some sort of insane regional California dish and got excited, but our server rolled her eyes. Located in the main dining room of our new "Beach House," this semi-private table gives you an aesthetic backdrop and plenty of views to take in. Reserve this space for intimate gatherings and small group outings when looking to celebrate special occasions, host productive meetings, and more.

The Beach House includes a private bar area, comfortable booth seating, high-top tables, and plenty of space to transform the area into whatever your event needs. With 2,000 students required to take physical education classes all four of their high school years, district officials expect the athletic facilities will get heavy use every day. As the wait ticked upwards of 45 minutes, we checked on our table (they told us they were really busy and overwhelmed) and then things started to turn around.

Andy Phelps of STR Partners, the project architects, was also present at the open house to provide details and answer questions. He said the firm has been working with the village of Buffalo Grove to address the drainage issues and concerns, looking to provide a more permanent solution. The previous temporary “spot” checks haven’t been holding up, costing staff maintenance time and upkeep.

The sausage was loaded with fennel and the nicely salty crust was crispy and chewy. When our table was ready next door, after nearly an hour and a half wait, we both wished we’d just said no and ordered another pizza and round of Sicilian Highballs. When the quoted time for a table was 45 minutes, we decided to head over to Stella Barra for a drink and wait it out.

2-in x 4-in Dimensional Lumber at Lowes com

2x4 design

Using pocket hole screws makes this shelf build pretty easy. These fasteners are easy to use and help automatically keep everything square, which can be a challenge for new DIYers. Next, I had to figure out the width of each shelf unit. I divided the width of the entire space by three shelving units. This gave me a number that felt right for balancing open space against structural integrity, but I could have added or subtracted here if the width was too wide or too thin.

4 Bench Plans – Material List

Place a 7/16″ piece between the slats and align them at both ends. Drill pilot holes and insert 1 5/8″ screws to lock them into place tightly. Some big, steel, industrial shelving units can found for cheaper than what we spent here.

Woodworking Made Easy

If you are planning a visit to SFMOMA to see a specific work of art, we suggest you contact us at to confirm it will be on view. 2x4 (founded 1994) is a New York-based multidisciplinary design studio producing work for art, architecture, fashion, and cultural clientele. Founded by Michael Rock, Susan Sellers, and Georgianna Stout, 2x4's creative process utilizes a systematic design strategy that continually draws on research and critical thinking. Their work covers various media such as print, Web, motion graphics, and environmental design.

Fill the holes with wood putty and then let it dry out for a few hours. Apply a few coats of paint over the exterior of the planter to protect them from the weather elements (in case you don’t you cedar or redwood). Read the labels with attention and choose a product that is food safe. Finally, we dropped the plywood pieces in place and screwed them down with 1” drywall screws. There are tons of boards to cut here, so a length stop is invaluable.

Since I had tons of requests for more 2×4 projects, I came up with this elevated garden planter design. This planter box is sturdy, easy to build and it doesn’t cost a fortune to make. If you enjoy my design, don’t forget to take a look over the rest of my free plans HERE.

On any given project, interns will work with a design director and project team to conceive, create and present ideas. Clients range from fashion brands to museums and cultural institutions. At 2x4, internships prioritize learning and the acquisition of real-world experience. Generally, interns have completed undergraduate study in graphic design or are working on their MFA or MArch. Relevant experience in the discipline is preferred but not required. All these challenge projects are at least 85% structural lumber, and my oh my, I’m so impressed at the creativity!

So this week our theme is 2x4s and other structural lumber, because we LOVE getting creative with the strong and affordable common boards to make projects that are functional with some flair. This woodworking project was about elevated planter box made from 2x4s plans. If you want to see more outdoor plans, we recommend you to check out the rest of my step by step projects. 4 and More: 14 New DIY Structural Lumber and 2×4 Project Tutorials

Founded in 1994 by Michael Rock, Susan Sellers and Georgianna Stout, 2x4 is a global design consultancy headquartered in New York City with satellite studios in Beijing and Madrid. The focus of our work is brand strategy for cultural and commercial clients who value the power of design. Last but not least, you need to take care of the finishing touches.

2x4 design

Lorene has been behind the scenes here at Remodelaholic for more than a decade! She believes that planning projects and actually completing them are two different hobbies, but that doesn't stop her from planning at least a dozen projects at any given time. She spends her free time creating memories with her husband and 5 kids, traveling as far as she can afford, and partaking of books in any form available.

We can perform a two-way ANOVA to formally test whether or not the independent variables have a statistically significant relationship with the dependent variable. In this type of design, one independent variable has two levels and the other independent variable has four levels. Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 11 1/8″ long, cut a 15-degree angle cut on one end (E). Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 7 1/16″ long, cut 15-degree angle cut on both end in the same direction (C). Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 6 1/2″ long, rip the 2×4 to 1 1/2″, cut a 15-degree angle cut on one end (B).

This establishes an “uninhabitable” zone that is perfect for storage. Introduction to Statistics is our premier online video course that teaches you all of the topics covered in introductory statistics. Cut a 2×4 to 3′ 9″ long, cut a 15-degree bevel cut along the edge (F). 2×4 bench plans, plans include a free PDF download, step-by-step instructions, material list with cutting list and shopping list. Only a portion of SFMOMA's collection is currently online, and the information presented here is subject to revision.

The action you just performed triggered the security solution. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. Drill pilot holes and install as shown in illustration above using 2 3/4″ deck screws. 2×4/design series 3 is organized by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. This exhibition is generously supported by an anonymous donor, Christine and Michael Murray, Nancy and Steven Oliver, and the LEF Foundation.

But there’s no guarantee that they will fit well in your space. Consider this project if you want custom shelving that maximizes storage space in exchange for a potentially higher cost and time spent building. Bare minimum, I think you need a circular saw or jigsaw with straight edge, the Kreg pocket hole setup and a drill. We spent about $100 on 31 2x4s, $100 on five sheets of plywood, and $10 on pocket hole screws, for a total of about $210.

Each shelving section gets its own rectangular shelf surface with notches in the corners for the 2x4 columns. It’s a good idea to double check the measurements of these spaces front-to-back and side-to-side in case any them are out of square. I have a Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics and I’ve worked on machine learning algorithms for professional businesses in both healthcare and retail. I’m passionate about statistics, machine learning, and data visualization and I created Statology to be a resource for both students and teachers alike. My goal with this site is to help you learn statistics through using simple terms, plenty of real-world examples, and helpful illustrations.

This philosophy extends beyond logos and branding to the creation of a more cohesive story for every project. The long and diverse list of the studio's clients includes the Brooklyn Museum, Prada, Anyone Corporation, Vitra, and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Based in New York City, 2x4 is a collaborative studio made up of designers, writers, programmers, and animators under the direction of Michael Rock, Susan Sellers, and Georgianna Stout. Their shared attraction to unapologetically ornamental patterning — a playful merging of figurative, abstract, or natural motifs — is one of the most distinctive elements of the studio's designs. The World Around is a platform and annual conference that aims to open up architectural discourse and connect around ideas that impact a broad range of disciplines. The inaugural edition was held at the Times Center in New York City in January 2020.

2×4’s sophisticated approach emphasizes critical thinking and research, and its projects encompass virtually all graphic media — print, motion graphics, and environmental design. This is the third exhibition in SFMOMA’s design series devoted to showcasing emerging design talent. Just like we did for our Pallets Aplenty and Plywood Pretty theme weeks, we’re starting this week off with a CHALLENGE — what can you build from structural lumber? We gathered a great group of bloggers to get the week started, and we want to see YOUR projects at the link party below, too.

Home Value Estimator How Much is My House Worth?

house value

Find out how much your house may be worth with our home value estimator with fresh 2023 real estate data points. These home valuation estimates will show estimated value(s) for most properties on our site and can be used as a starting point for informed pricing discussions with a local real estate agent. Professional home appraisals consider various factors to determine a home’s value, including size, location, condition, upgrades and local comps (or what other, similar homes nearby have sold for). Mortgage lenders require an appraisal before they will approve your loan. While Younger didn’t share by how much assessments rose, she did suggest rising home sale prices in a housing market marked by tight inventory would lead to a bump in assessed values.

Home value estimates from sources independent of Realtor.com®

If you have the time and prefer researching things yourself, scouring the internet can provide a cheap and fairly quick way to determine how much your house is worth. This approach will not yield a completely accurate number, but should give you a ballpark figure to guide your decisions. We selected our valuation providers with a critical eye toward quality and the belief that homebuyers and sellers should have access to data similar to the information provided to real estate lenders, investors, and brokers. What kind of information does Bankrate use to calculate my home's value?

Some of those factors are in your control, like if you made home improvements to boost the value of your house. Others, like the current economy and local housing market trends, are less in your control. As a real estate brokerage, Redfin has complete access to Multiple Listing Services (MLSs), the databases that real estate agents use to list properties. To calculate the Redfin Estimate the algorithm considers hundreds of data points about the market, the neighborhood, and the home itself, like whether it has a water view or is located on a busy street.

It is intended to provide user-friendly data to promote transparent real estate markets and allow people to make more informed decisions — it should not be used to drive up the price of a home. When a home goes on the market, new data can be incorporated into the Zestimate algorithm. In the simplest terms, the Zestimate for on-market homes includes listing data that provides valuable signals about the home’s eventual sale price. Using an AVM is a cost-effective way to quickly give you a ballpark price point with relative accuracy.

Lenders and Realtors often work with property appraisers and might have a list of recommendations to help you in your search. There are a variety of ways to get the information you need, depending on how much time and effort you are willing to put in, as well as cost if you seek professional help. Please check your spelling and use the common location formats listed below. Search for data on homeowners to see available contact information, assets, and more. Using an updated version will help protect your accounts and provide a better experience.

It is always important to remember that these are not universal suggestions and do not guarantee specific outcomes. Decisions are better taken in consultation with a real estate professional, while factoring in your unique situation like your budget and local housing market conditions. You can hire a professional appraiser to provide an evaluation of the property’s value, which in turn should help you price your home accurately.

These home valuations are obtained from computer-driven mathematical models that use basic property characteristics, local market information, and price trends to produce an estimate of what a home’s market value could be. Bankrate.com is an independent, advertising-supported publisher and comparison service. We are compensated in exchange for placement of sponsored products and services, or by you clicking on certain links posted on our site. Therefore, this compensation may impact how, where and in what order products appear within listing categories, except where prohibited by law for our mortgage, home equity and other home lending products. Other factors, such as our own proprietary website rules and whether a product is offered in your area or at your self-selected credit score range, can also impact how and where products appear on this site.

Many real estate professionals, lenders at banking institutions and investors use similar models to assess property valuations and opportunities. AVMs don’t always consider a property’s unique features and recent renovations that can significantly enhance its worth. You can use an AVM as a starting point while searching for a suitable market price. Next, you can get a physical appraisal following an AVM estimate to dig into your property’s true value. We use AVMs at Ownerly to help homeowners calculate realistic valuations and combine them with other details from public records and sales data. Because an AVM is a forecasted value, our valuation models include three professional grade AVMs that can be used to get a rough “band” for the highest and lowest value that a property is approximately worth.

This report is personally prepared to give you a clear understanding of competing properties, market trends, and recent sales in your area. The property market has turned a corner this year as cheaper borrowing costs lure prospective buyers. Home asking prices rose the most in a year in April, according to data from online sales portal Rightmove, while surveyors are becoming more optimistic about new buyer demand. On the west coast of Florida, the number of houses up for sale and the rate at which their current owners are cutting asking prices is soaring, according to a report from real estate company Redfin released Thursday. In an official sense, a home appraisal can help you petition your bank to get private mortgage insurance removed from your mortgage payment if you feel your equity now exceeds 20% of the home’s value.

It can also give you something to work with if you’re fighting your city’s tax evaluation of your home. It’s useful to know how much your home is worth if you’re considering selling it, or if you’re thinking of tapping home equity for renovations or other projects. It can also give you a feel for your overall net worth, though your home’s value will fluctuate over time. For over two decades, we've been a trusted resource for homebuyers and sellers. Now, we're bringing our commitment to transparency and trustworthy data to people, by providing them home values about specific properties. Typically, national AVMs are not a good representation of a home's actual value and have a large margin of error.

The Redfin Estimate History graph provides a look back at how a home's value changes over time. The Redfin Estimate value each month represents the Redfin Estimate average of all the days in that month. This may differ slightly from the Redfin Estimate displayed in the Home Report email, which shows a point-in-time value for a given day rather than a monthly average. Also, you can contact a Redfin Agent to discuss what your home is worth. Speaking to a Redfin Agent about your home’s value is free of charge, with no obligation.

If you are in the market to sell, an experienced local real estate agent or professional appraiser can often provide the most accurate value. You can pair our AVM assessment and a few other independent valuations to try and make sure you are getting the most out of your property. A CMA is a free report prepared personally by one of our agents that compares your home to similar properties in your neighborhood that are currently for sale or have recently been sold. To calculate a Zestimate, Zillow uses a sophisticated and proprietary algorithm that incorporates data from county and tax assessor records and direct feeds from hundreds of multiple listing services and brokerages.

Speaking with a Redfin Agent is free of charge, and there is no obligation to list your home for sale or work with Redfin. Our models can find neighborhoods similar to yours and use sales in those areas to extrapolate trends in your housing market. Our estimating method differs from that of a comparative market analysis completed by a real estate agent.
